The first Roosevelt Island Film Festival will take place June 25-27, 2021. "RIFF is dedicated to the discovery and development of independent American and International filmmakers. The festival seeks to discover, support, and inspire independent film, and introduce audiences to new exceptional works, highlighting Female Directors, Emerging NYC filmmakers, Comedy, and Foreign Language Film."
The festival weekend will consist of film blocks day and night and an awards ceremony Sunday evening at Chapel of the Good Shepard. The festival venue will be the Main Street Theater and Dance Alliance located at 548 Main St., Roosevelt Island, NY 10044. You can take a subway or tram way. Take the little Red Bus to the second stop and follow the signs.
