Showtime's drama Billions will return to continue season five in the fall. Last spring, Showtime aired the first seven episodes of season five before the pandemic halted production. In 2021, the cast and crew returned to Broadway Stages to finish filming the remaining episodes. The new episodes will introduce Janeane Garofalo in a recurring role as the owner of a legal cannabis corporation.
"Billions follows shrewd billionaire hedge fund manager Bobby "Axe" Axelrod (Damian Lewis) as he tries to steer clear of the law while growing his firm's wealth. Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti), the bold and brash New York Attorney General, has his eyes on Axe, as he seeks to be seen as a leader in the fight against financial corruption in America."
We'll be seeing even more of Lewis and Giamatti at Broadway Stages and on the streets of the city as Showtime has ordered a sixth season of the popular drama.
