The Teen Producers Academy Showcase is taking place this Friday evening as part of the Sidewalk Cinema. Sidewalk Cinema has been a way for the Maysles Documentary Center to show films through their storefront window with spaced seating and audio speakers outside on the sidewalk. The Teen Producers Academy is a yearlong educational program for high school students to learn about and create documentary films.

For this year's showcase, the documentaries will explore the lives of young LGBT artists, a Haitian band, a seamstress, and also show the dangers of vaping.

The event is expected to run from 8:30pm to 10:30pm on Friday, June 25, 2021. The Maysles Documentary Center is located at 343 Malcolm X Boulevard in Harlem.
