Werewolves Within is currently screening at IFC Center on West 4th Street through July 22nd. This horrifically funny film is directed by Josh Ruben. The 96 minute film starts with laughs and keeps them coming. The film is a feature adaptation of the video game with the same name. In the game, hidden roles and social deduction for five to eight players is how to play the fast paced game. In the film, a snowstorm has a town's residents trapped in the local inn where Finn, the town’s new park ranger, and Cecily, the postal worker, must keep the calm as a mysterious creature terrorizes the community.
Filmed in Upstate New York, the audience I sat amongst laughed and gasped through the film's plot twists. The film is currently exclusive to the theater with the ability to buy it on-demand coming soon.
On the evening of Tuesday, July 13th screening, the presentation included an after screening panel moderated by Russian Doll creator Leslye Headland and included director Josh Ruben and actors Wayne Duvall, Glenn Fleshler and Catherine Curtin.
