The deadline is August 4 for New York City. Filmshop is an organization of filmmakers that help push, critique, support, and collaborate on projects from script to screen. It was started in 2009 and currently has chapters in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and New Orleans. Meetings are held weekly both in-person and virtually. Filmshop also holds multiple screening events throughout the year. If you are interested, there is a virtual open house on Tuesday, July 27th. See here for details. Filmshop is accepting membership applications for the Fall 2021 season. The deadline is August 4 for New York City.
