Only Murders in the Building was on a familiar set yesterday on the Upper East Side. The show is currently filming Season 3. The crew was lighting the outside for the inside diner shoot. The Mansion Diner on 86th and York has served as the Hulu original series' local diner under the set dressing of the Pickle Diner. When we arrived on set, the extras were rehearsing their walking-by-the-diner struts and others were preparing to be inside as diner patrons. The extras wrangler described the scene being shot inside the Pickle Diner as Steve's character Charles will be walking into the diner, a flashback to a time he entered the diner and saw Bunny Mellon eating alone, so it was decided they would eat together.

Steve Martin arrived on set and took his place at the diner booth to begin the scene. Captured through the diner window as he arrived to the booth.

The production was also holding the location 86th Street and Amsterdam home of "The Building" as a second set for the production day.

In the afternoon, we found the crew, extras and cast members Steve Martin (Charles), Selena Gomez (Mabel), and Martin Short (Oliver) filming a scene where the three are running out of the building entrance and flagging down a taxi. Mabel is wearing a wedding dress!
