The New York Television Festival will be hosting a monthly gathering to discuss all things television. The evening is billed as an opportunity for independent creatives to gain insight on the television industry. Festival members and industry guests will take the stage each month to share information and conversation on development, creation, and production of all things television.
The first meeting of the minds will commence on February 12, 2013 at Comedy Bar NYC. The bar has a Chelsea neighborhood address: 134 W. 29th St, downstairs from Simple Studios. Event organizers are encouraging you to come early from 5-7p.m. for happy hour specials and stay afterwards to make the most of the connections. NYTVF 2013 is a free to attend series that begins at 6:30p.m. The night will feature James Murray, a festival alum, executive of NorthSouth productions and star of truTV's Impractical Jokers. The conversation focus will be concept development and pre-production.
The organizers of the NYTVF 2013 series are only allowing those who register in advance to attend. Once seats are filled, a stand-by list will be created to allow for no show spots to be filled by those on the stand-by list.
