GROUP THERAPY premiered at Tribeca Festival on Thursday, June 6, 2024. The documentary feature film by filmmaker Neil Berkley marks a return for the filmmaker to Tribeca Festival (Gilbert, TFF 2017 Selection). The film has Neil Patrick Harris as moderator of the Group Therapy with candid humorous conversations between Mike Birbiglia, Nicole Byer, Gary Gulman, London Hughes, Tig Notaro and Atsuko Okatsuka.
Group Therapy marks the first Tribeca Film Festival selection from Hartbeat, a global multiplatform media company founded by Kevin Hart. The film looks at mental health through the gathered comedians' testimonies revealing the connections between their professional comedy journeys and mental health struggles. The film strives to tackle a necessary conversation on mental wellness.
