Intrepid Museum is extending its Friday hours and offering a movie screening on the flight deck to conclude your visit. The museum will be open from 5-9pm and it is free admission to explore the exhibits. The flight deck will have a limited seating area that will open at 5:30p.m. and close at 8:30p.m. to allow film watchers to get a seat and settled for the film that starts at dusk. The feature film on Friday, August 23, 2024 will be MOONFALL. This is your last chance of the season to watch a movie on the flight deck of the Intrepid.
In connection to the Museum's newest exhibit: Apollo: When We Went to the Moon, all movies in the summer will feature stories about humankind's exploration and fascination with the moon. In addition to the film, visitors will enjoy Hudson River and city skyline views while on the flight deck. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket and picnic, drinks, snacks for your screening time. Alcohol is not permitted. There will be light concessions on site for sale. There is no re-entry if you leave the seating area. All exiting is final.
