ImageNation and Black Public Media are hosting an outdoor under the stars at the Richard Rodgers Amphitheater screening of
The Disappearance of Miss Scott on Saturday, August 30th. The event starts at 7pm with music by
Sheila P/Shift.
The screening will follow at 8pm. The Disappearance of Miss Scott explores the extraordinary life and legacy of Hazel Scott — a brilliant jazz pianist, Hollywood actress, and fearless civil rights advocate. Featuring rare archival footage, candid interviews, and insights from luminaries like Alicia Keys, the film resurrects a nearly forgotten icon who shaped American music and culture.
If case of rain, the event will be moved to Mount Morris Ascension Presbyterian Church across the street.
Please RSVP to get a spot.
