The Hip Hop Film Festival is next week. It runs August 21-24 with events and screenings at Harlem Film House HQ, Look Dine-In Cinemas, DCTV's Firehouse Cinema, and the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.
Thursday opens with multiple discussions about filmmaking at the Harlem Film House HQ. They are the organizers of the HHFF, now in its tenth year.
Friday will have more talks during the day continued with screenings at the Look Dine-In Cinemas in Hell's Kitchen.
Saturday brings screenings to the Firehouse Cinema in Chinatown followed by talks in the evening.
Sunday closes the festival with a screening at the Schomburg. Special guests include Kid of Kid 'n Play, Coko of SWV, and more.
