The New York Science Fiction Film Festival, now in its fifth year, is this weekend. Friday's program is at the Producers Club in Manhattan and Saturday's program is at Stuart Cinema and Cafe in Brooklyn.
Friday's schedule starts at 3pm with a couple documentaries followed by a couple features, Loch Ness: They Created A Monster at 4:30pm and The Distant Jump at 6pm. Later in the evening, there is a shorts block comprised of sci-fi and supernatural films followed by a shorts block of sci-fi horror films.
Saturday's screenings begin at 2pm with a sci-fi and supernatural shorts block followed by the feature The Strange Dark from New Jersey's own Director Chris Messineo at 4pm. That will be followed by the feature Rufus at 6pm, which will conclude the festival.
