GREEN ROOM NEW YORK
DAMN Film Series Pops at Midtown Theater Lab
(released
Wednesday, February 11, 2015)
By Kimberly Burke
Theater Lab located in Midtown serves Manhattan's community of independent artists. The centralized location allows for rental performance, rehearsal space, screening room, and mixed media display. The philosophy is to share in artistic ventures and bring the art in a form that rubs up against human experience. One such effort is a newly formed DAMN Film series.
Damn good actors brought damn good writing alive on the screen this past Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Lanie Zipoy and Phil Newsom are co-producing the DAMN Film Series in the screening room of the Theater Lab. The room holds about sixty audience members comfortably and post screening can include everything from Q&A with filmmakers, musical soundtracks pulled from the screen and performed live, or interactive dance. Networking just got un-stuffy.
The next DAMN Film Series is March 16th. Women Filmmakers will be featured in the 5 shorts billed to screen.
