Brooklyn Film Festival Illuminates May 29-June 7

Since 1998, Brooklyn Film Festival organizers have been erecting international competitive film events. The 18th annual Brooklyn Film Festival is themed Illuminate with the tag line "3,000 miles from Hollywood" claiming distance from the boxed studio product and authenticating Brooklyn, NY film.
New venue Wythe Hotel (Williamsburg), Windmill Studios NYC located now in Greenpoint, Nitehawk Cinema (Williamsburg), and Made in NY by IFP Center (DUMBO) will house the film happenings. The dates... May 29-June 7, 2015.
Highlights on the schedule: BFF Exchange connecting filmmakers with distributors. Panels and sessions on pitch and distribution are scheduled for June 6, 2015. Now 11 years old, the Kids Film Fest will take place at DUMBO venue from 1-3pm on Saturday, May 30, 2015.
The opening night film will be the east coast premiere of Manson Family Vacation. Netflix acquired the film at the 2015 SXSW Festival. 2,300 films were submitted from 113 countries to participate in this year's festival. 108 films coming from 26 countries will be featured throughout the festival.
