The OSCAR-nominated film Marty Supreme will screen complimentary at the Columbus Library on Friday, April 3, 2026 from 2-4:30PM. The Columbus Library is located 742 10th Avenue, New York, NY 10019.
The film is loosely based on the life of Marty Reisman (1930-2012), a legendary America table tennis player, author, and famous hustler with a "hardball style". Filmmakers Josh Safdie and Ronald Bronstein developed the film in 2018 after Safdie was given a copy of Reisman's 1974 memoir, The Money Player: The Confessions of America's Greatest Table Tennis Champion and Hustler. The film had a secret premier at the New York Film Festival on October 6, 2025 and released in the US on December 25 by A24.
The film was nominated for nine OSCARS™ and eleven BAFTAs. Timothy Chalamet is the lead actor and he won Best Actor at the Golden Globes and Critic's Choice for the role. The film also has Gwyneth Paltrow, Kevin O'Leary, Abel Ferrara, Fran Drescher, Sandra Bernhard and more.
