First Look 2026 will take place April 23-May 3, 2026. The annual festival First Look is The Museum of Moving Image showcasing adventurous new cinema, offering a diverse slate of major New York Premieres, discussions and panels, and fresh perspectives on the art and process of filmmaking. This 2026 festival will be the 15th edition of First Look.
THE MISCONCEIVED is the opening night film on April 23, 7pm. CAROUSEL is a showcase screening on Friday, April 24, 6:30pm. HOT WATER is also a showcase screening on Saturday, April 25, 6:30pm. LITTLE STABS (AVANT GARDE SHORTS) will screen at 1pm on Saturday, April 25. Saturday, May 2, at 6pm, SILENT FRIEND will be the final showcase screening. Closing night MOONGLOW will be Sunday, May 3, 6pm.
