Ghostbuster Day is June 6th at Hook & Ladder 8 (released Wednesday, June 3, 2026) By Kimberly Burke GHOSTBUSTERS DAY is June 6, 2026. The annual fundraising event is held at Hook & Ladder 8 where the movie Ghostbusters filmed in 1984. Buffalo Ghostbusters organizes and has announced the FDNY Foundation as this year's charitable beneficiary of the funds this event will bring. The FDNY Foundation supports the department's firefighters and strengthens safety efforts throughout NYC. Donation and merchandise purchases will go to assist the men and women of the FDNY and their mission to better protect the city. The Ghostbusters Day Fundraiser at Hook & Ladder 8 is located at 14 N Moore St, New York, 10013. From 12-6pm, surprise guests and activities are planned. https://www.facebook.com Hook & Ladder 8 is a working FDNY Firehouse that has been putting out fires for the city since horse and carriage helped to bring water and work fires. In one of the oldest areas of the city, locals and tourists regularly visit the firehouse looking to snap a memory photo or two. The Fireman at Hook & Ladder 8 conduct routine work in and around the firehouse while mingling with the fans of the film. On Ghostbuster Day, the fandom is extra with folks dressing as characters from the film and prepared to extinguish the ghosts. Find your place in all the spooky by attending this year.
