TREES LOUNGE is the 1996 directorial debut of Steve Buscemi. Indie Collect's restoration of the film was undertaken in partnership with the George Eastman Museum, thanks go to Peter Barrow, Senior Curator of the Moving Image Department, and supported by the Steve Buscemi & Karen Ho Charitable Trust and IndieCollect donors.

Steve Buscemi plays a hopeless alcoholic with no job after stealing from his boss, played by Anthony LaPaglia, who is now dating his ex-girlfriend played by Elizabeth Bracco. The cast includes Eszter Balint, Daniel Baldwin, Seymour Cassel, Michael Imperioli, Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Boone Junior, Carol Kane, Joe Lisi, Debi Mazar, and Mimi Rogers.

The 35mm original color negative was scanned and Buscemi and DP Lisa Rinzler collaborated closely with colorist Eva Yuma on the restoration and Camerin Haffner supervised. Audio restoration came from Nick Bergh of Endpoint Audio Labs.
