Brooklyn Northside Festival Celebrates Old and New

Music, Innovation, and Content frame the schedule for Northside Festival Brooklyn 2016. The festival is scheduled to begin June 6th and focus on content till the 8th, music runs June 9th through the 12th, and also June 9th through the 10th explores innovation.
Music will feature McCarren Park concerts as well as venues in Brooklyn exploring the talented landscape. Some of the bigger musical acts include Brian Wilson of Beach Boys fame as he performs the album Pet Sounds, rap pioneer Grandmaster Flash, folkie Conor Oberst, and the new country sound of Kacey Musgraves. On June 9th, record label Unit J is having a launch party at House of Yes.
Directors, Founders, Musicians, and Storytellers share at the Content based events. Find out what original video content game is current. Presentations, screenings, round table discussions, Question and Answer sessions with time to allow for meet and greets. Hear from Crystal Moselle (Director of the documentary Wolfpack), Andrea Allen (Director of Production at Vimeo), Oscar Boyson (Producer of Frances Ha), and many more.
Brooklyn Expo Center will be the location for New York's entrepreneurs, technologists, hackers, thinkers, and creators. Exhibits from 150 gurus of tech, startups, and representative VC firms will converge for two days. Daily on Thursday, June 9th and Friday, June 10th from 10am to 6pm, the floor will be open for Innovation. Speakers, panels, keynotes, and pitch competition make for a conference vibe in the Innovation days of the festival.
