The Winter Season begins Wednesday, January 2 for NewFilmmakers New York, a weekly screening series with quarterly festivals. The series is based at Anthology Film Archives (32 Second Avenue). Tickets are 7 dollars and go on sale at 5:30p.m. and give access to the programmed evening as published by New Filmmakers NY:
2019 Winter Season opens with the Documentary MITZVOT, two Short Film Programs, and the new Feature DOUBLE BELGIAN.

Mitzvot is part experimental documentary, part ethnographic film; a study of Hasidim aesthetic in New York. A chronicle of the day leading to Sabbath in three distinct neighborhoods: Borough Park, Crown Heights, and Williamsburg.
