New York Wins At 76th Golden Globes

NY productions shined at the 76th annual Golden Globe Awards held in the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel on January 6, 2019. Four winners at the Globes were productions that participated in the New York State Film Tax Credit Program according to a release from Empire State Development.
Empire State Development President, CEO and Commissioner Howard Zemsky said, "The Empire State is home to innovative film and TV productions that annually generate hundreds of thousands of hires and millions in investment, and I congratulate the 2019 New York-based Golden Globe winners on their creative contributions to the industry this year."
The Golden Globe winners that participated in the program are:
Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture
Regina King - If Beale Street Could Talk
Best Television Series - Drama
The Americans
Networks Fox 21 Television / FX Productions
Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television
Patricia Arquette - Escape At Dannemora
Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy
Rachel Brosnahan - The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
The New York State Governor's Office of Motion Picture & Television Development serves as a liaison between productions and city-state agencies. Additionally, the office is a resource for productions with contacts with local film offices, location managers, and statewide contacts to aid in a production's success. The Governor's Office of Motion Picture & Television Development is a division of Empire State Development. Empire State Development is New York's chief economic development agency.
