BlacKkKlansman Screening at Hudson Park Library

Spike Lee's film BlacKkKlansman (2018) will screen at the Hudson Park Library on Saturday, January 12, 2019. The film stars John David Washington, Adam Driver, Laura Harrier and is directed by Spike Lee. The film runs for 135 minutes and the screening starts at 2p.m.
The true story film of the first African American detective to serve in the Colorado Springs Police Department. Ron Stallworth is the detective played by John David Washington who convinces Flip Zimmerman played by Adam Driver to join his mission of exposing the Klu Klux Klan. The two take on the extremist hate group while the organization tries to appeal to main stream.
The film is riding the awards season wave with 23 wins and 123 nominations. The Grand Prize of the Jury Award at Cannes Film Festival 2018, Movie of the Year AFI Awards 2018, DGA Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Motion Pictures Nominee, to name a few accolades.
