Thompson will be playing the role of Marcus, a down-and-out café owner in Brooklyn battling the urban virus of gentrification around his shop. Marcus is described by the filmmakers as a charming sugar-daddy type with a younger lover, and "patriarch" to a wayward group of younger gay and lesbian artists in Brooklyn, New York. Production is slated for this fall in Brooklyn. They hope to make submission deadlines for LA's Outfest and Tribeca FF, both in December.
