All the Streets Are Silent Has Strong Opening

The Jeremy Elkin documentary All The Streets Are Silent is rounding out its first week at the box office, which has been screening at the Village East since July 23rd.  It pulled in the most per screen for this past weekend of July 23-25 with a projected gross of $9500.

The picture documents the skating and hip-hop subcultures and convergence in New York City from 1987-1997.  They describe it as...

Paris Is Burning meets Larry Clark's KIDS, All the Streets Are Silent is a love letter to New York - examining race, society, fashion, and street culture.

It is currently playing at Village East and will be playing a second week there. It continues with further openings rolling out nationwide on July 30. Greenwich Entertainment is distributing.
