Women's Movement Town Hall Sunday Feb 12

Town hall meeting for activists: Building A Movement for Change in Challenging Times will take place Sunday, February 12, 2017. Participants include Dolores Huerta, Carmen Perez, Paola Mendoza, and Gloria Steinem. This town hall is being hosted by the Athena Film Festival. The discussion will be moderated by festival co-founder, Kathryn Kolbert, and will focus on harnessing the momentum from the Women's March and moving towards social change.

Dolores Huerta in addition to being an activist is the subject of the festival's closing night film DOLORES that will screen following the town hall. Carmen Perez and Paola Mendoza are leaders of the Women's March on Washington. Gloria Steinem is a women's activist and journalist. Student activists from Barnard College will also be present at the town hall meeting that will be held Sunday evening at 5pm.  If you are inspired by bold women and want to participate, you are encouraged to come to the meeting at the Diane Event Oval on the Barnard campus located in Manhattan at West 117th Street at Broadway.
