Early Short Films by Renowned Female Directors

Early Short Films by Renowned Female Directors is being held at the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building on February 21, 2018 at 6:30p.m. The screening will include:

"AND YOU ACT LIKE ONE TOO" 1976, director Susan Seidelman
"DAVID OF AND ON" 1972, director Martha Coolidge
"ILLUSIONS" 1982, director Julie Dash

The evening consists of 16mm films programmed by Aloma Drafthouse Brooklyn Chief Programmer, Cristina Cacioppo. The films are curated from a collection that is 65 years old at the library called the Reserve Film and Video collection.  The collection is open to the public and available at the Library of Performing Arts.

Registration is recommended and free. Priority seating will be given to those that are registered. All are welcome to come even if not registered and seating will be done on a first come first serve basis. The event is wheelchair accessible. If you are not able to make the event, streaming the films is also possible.
