Brooklyn SciFi Film Festival is October 5-11+

Brooklyn SciFi Film Festival is coming back for a 7th time with 200 plus films from 34 countries streaming online with a selected 40 films screening in theaters. This year's festival will celebrate 60-years of Star Trek and explore the future of Sci-Fi genre storytelling.

The festival Opening Night Party will take place October 5 at Bubbles and Brew, located at 229 Bond Street, Brooklyn. Meet and Greet reception in Gowanus will be from 6-9:30pm.  You can also start with the online digital pass as the online event starts at 5pm ET and continues through October 18th.

On Wednesday, October 7, Best of Brooklyn will have 12 Sci-Fi Short Films from Brooklyn and Beyond. Go to Film Noir at 122 Meserole Avenue, Brooklyn in Greenpoint from 7-10pm.

On Thursday, the festival is screening out of Nitehawk Cinema, 188 Prospect Park W, Brooklyn (Prospect Park) from 6:45-9:30pm.

Friday Night Fights will be at Stuart Cinema, 37-18 Northern Blvd., Long Island City (Queens) from 6:45-9pm.

Saturday, October 10th, the Star Trek Fan Film Event will have "7-Home Brewed Trek Films" with Live Entertainment from Proud Generations.  The Tom Kane Theatre will host the afternoon from 1-4pm. The theatre is located at 51 35th Street Bldg. 5 in Brooklyn (Sunset Park). Saturday evening, an Online Event from 8-10pm with the screening presented by Cult Epics called School in the Crosshairs will begin. You can get a digital pass to see the film.

On Sunday October 11, Awards will be announced at 5:00p.m. EDT with an online event.

Films will continue to stream online through October 18, 2026.
