A new series starring Dakota Fanning is filming in the city. The show is still untitled and code named "Gin Joint". We saw them filming at One New York Plaza in FiDi on Thursday, October 1st.

We saw them using background players in business attire during lunch hour, which made it look confusing for the PAs to corral away actual office workers. They utilized a camera atop a building catty corner to capture an overhead view.

Fanning will star as an undercover Treasury agent in a multibillion-dollar international conglomerate with world-changing political and criminal tentacles, who becomes conflicted between her mission and a belief that her principal target, the heir apparent to all that corrupt power, is at his core a good man and worthy of her love.

Fanning is also executive producing with her sister and partner Elle Fanning through their company Lewellan Pictures. The series is being produced by Sony Pictures and was picked up by Apple TV in January 2026.

Also starring in the series are Stellan Skarsgård, Daryl McCormack, Grace Gummer, Joely Richardson, Susan Kelechi Watson, and Louisa Krause.

The series was created by Alex Cary, who also worked on Homeland, A Spy Among Friends, Lie To Me, and The Riches. Kari Skogland is directing as well as executive producing.
