Disney Pixar Announce Slate of Animations
Walt Disney Studios released their slate of feature animations through 2012 at a press conference in New York yesterday. The roster of new animated features includes six new films from Pixar Animation Studios, four from Walt Disney Animation Studios, and the first four in a series of direct-to-DVD films featuring Disney Fairies from DisneyToon Studios.
Included in the list is Wall*E which is slated for release June 27th, 2008. After this release, all Disney and Pixar animated features will be presented in 3-D. Also in the list are 3D updates to the Toy Story franchise. Disney will be re-branding the franchise by releasing Toy Story in 3D on October 2nd of 2009, Toy Story 2 in 3D only 3 months later on February 12th of 2010 and followed by Toy Story 3 on June 18th of 2010.
Other titles include Bolt, Tinker Bell, Up, The Princess and the Frog, Tinker Bell North of Never Land, Rapunzel, Tinker Bell A Midsummer Storm (working title), Newt, The Bear and the Bow, Tinker Bell A Winter Story (working title), Cars 2, and King of the Elves.
