Actors and Producers Begin Talks (released 4/15/2008) By Douglas Lorah April 15th not only marks the final day to get your tax returns into the IRS, but also the beginning of labor talks between Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers and the Screen Actors Guild. AFTRA will not be joining SAG at the negotiating table. They have their own negotiations scheduled to begin on April 28th. The current agreement between SAG and AMPTP expires June 30th. SAG will be going after similar issues as the Writers Guild, such as new media and reformulated DVD residuals. Print this article
