Museum of the Moving Image Launches New Site

(released 6/18/2008)

The Museum of the Moving Image just launched a new website devoted to the history of film, television, and digital media: Moving Image Source. It has articles about film providing retrospectives on genres, actors, directors, and reviews of specific films. It takes a look from an art as film stance more than the business side of things. The overall tone is similar to that of a critical magazine.

The articles are being updated once a week on Thursdays. There is also an international calendar. If you're a film lover and like traveling, this could be the thing for you.

In addition to their new website, the Museum's website navigation is integrated into the new one. You can keep track of the museum's offerings as well as check out photo updates on their expansion which has been going on since March and will continue till late 2009-early 2010.
