Last Call: The Shutdown of NYC Bars by Johnny Sweet will screen on the final day of the Queens World Film Festival. The afternoon screening will be held at Queens Theatre, 14 United Nations Avenue South, Corona, NY. Look for temperature screenings, assigned seating, capacity limits, enhanced cleaning at the theater and hand sanitizing stations for everyone's safe return to in-person screenings.
Last Call was filmed during the height of the pandemic to capture the impact of COVID-19 on the hospitality industry of NYC. Safety protocols in place and remotely controlled cameras to work on the film is how they were able to film during the shutdown. The film was recognized Winner Best Documentary at The Art of Brooklyn Film Festival 2021.
