The Roosevelt Island Film Festival concluded the first annual on Sunday evening June 27, 2021 at the Good Shepard Chapel on Roosevelt Island. The three day festival was held June 25-27 at The Main Street Theater. Judges at the fest included Oscar winning screenwriter Bobby Moresco (Crash) and actor Vincent Spano (Baby Its You).

Founded by Toni Vitale and Daniel Jorando a local RI resident since childhood they launched this first year. Dedicated to independent American and International Filmmakers they sought to highlight exceptional work, Female Directors, emerging NYC filmmakers, Comedy and foreign language films.

Many attended and some filmmakers who won had already started their journeys back to China and other International destinations of origin.
