Free and open to the public outdoor movies are coming to Long Island City this summer. Movies will screen with the New York City skyline as the backdrop. Movies will begin just after sundown. This, the seventh year of the summer screenings, is becoming a tradition with locals and travelers to the city alike.  

The movie schedule is as follows:  

July 31, 2021 LION KING (Beyonce version)

August 26, 2021 RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK (40th Anniversary)

September 12, 2021  JAWS

The films are shown on the waterfront at Hunters Point South Park Center Blvd. at 51st Avenue.

Take the 7 train to Vernon-Jackson and walk west to the park. The park is also accessible by way of the Long Island City Ferry stop.
