"Sesame Street: Made in NY"
On November 18th, 2008, Film Commissioner Katherine Oliver will moderate the panel "Sesame Street : Made in NY" to provide students and interested New Yorkers first hand accounts of what goes into creating, developing and educating through the shows forty year history in broadcasting. Panelists include:
Carol-Lynn Parente – Executive producer, Emmy-award winner
Dr. Rosemarie Truglio – Vice President of Education and Research
Joey Mazzarino – Emmy-winning writer, puppeteer, director
Kevin Clash – Performer for Elmo, Emmy-winning performer, producer and director
Sonia Manzano – Performer for Maria, Emmy-winning writer
The evening will begin at 6:30p.m. with doors opening at 6:00p.m. The Apollo Theater will host the panel in collaboration with Career Day at the Apollo, part of the Apollo Theater Education and Community Outreach Program.
