TOO SOON: COMEDY AFTER 9/11 is a documentary from Pulse Films exploring the sudden halt and then return of comedy following the event of September 11, 2001. The entertainers who made the path back to humor, in the deep sadness and loss being experienced by a collective society, will be narrating the special set to premiere on VICE TV on Wednesday, September 8 at 9:00p.m. ET/PT.
Too Soon: Comedy After 9/11 features interviews with David Cross, Janeane Garofalo, Marc Maron, Matthew Broderick, Aasif Mandvi, Rob Riggle, Nathan Lane, Gilbert Gottfried, Cedric the Entertainer, Chris Kattan, Lewis Black, Doug Stanhope, Jimmy Carr, Russell Peters, Eddie Brill, Liz Winstead, and Adam Ferrera.
In addition to the VICE TV premiere, TOO SOON: COMEDY AFTER 9/11 will have a special commemorative theatrical screening at 2:30p.m. PT on Saturday, September 11 at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California as part of the danceswithfilms.com film festival.
The documentary is directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Nick Fituri Scown and award-winning comedy journalist Julie Seabaugh.
