New Plaza Cinema Hosts Talk on Kurosawa

Max Alvarez will join the New Plaza Cinema Lecture Series with the topic Akira Kurosawa: Samurai of the Cinema.

Having a fifty year, 31 film career, Akira Kurosawa (1910-1998) was known as a master of world cinema. Kurosawa entered the film industry in 1936 after being a painter. He worked on numerous films as an assistant director and scriptwriter before his debut as a director.

Author, film historian and public speaker Max Alvarez will present this lecture virtually on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 3p.m.-4p.m.EDT.
