(released 11/15/2021)

The documentary Charm Circle screened Sunday morning, November 14 to a happy crowd of movie goers. The movie screened at the recently renovated Cinepolis Chelsea.

Charm Circle is the name of a small housing development in Kew Gardens Hills, Queens. It happens to be where the filmmaker grew up. The documentary covers 6 years of real life in her family. It shows that no matter what your best interests are, there will be hurdles. They show there are problems with everyone's lives and clearly no one is perfect. They are eccentric; they are artistic. Some of them give the best hugs. For most of us, there will be someone in the film that reminds you of your own family. And no matter how hard it gets, they love each other and stick together. The filmmaker had one question go unanswered though. Why isn't it clean?

Accompanying the film were the director Nira Burstein and executive producer Fred Armisen. They talked about their experience with the film in a Q&A after the showing.

The film will screen again at the Cinepolis Chelsea on Tuesday, November 16 at 4:30pm. Filmmaker Nira Burstein will accompany that screening as well.

The film will also be available for purchase to stream starting November 15, 2021 until November 28, 2021. www.docnyc.net
