The Batman New York Premiere Tonight

(released 3/1/2022)

The Upper West Side is getting its fill of movie premieres this week.  Last night, Netflix's The Adam Project premiered at Lincoln Center.  Tonight, Warner Bros' The Batman premiered at Lincoln Center.

You could see the difference throughout the neighborhood as ads running on newsstands and LinkNYC kiosks changed. Yesterday, nearly all if not all of the LinkNYC ads were bought out by The Adam Project. Today, they were all running different versions of The Batman. In fact, the newsstand at 72nd and Broadway was looping a video for Batman.

The Batman had a large red carpet arrival that surrounded the fountain in Lincoln Center Plaza. Stars entered at the street, worked the red carpet in the plaza, and then discreetly walked behind the David Geffen Hall building to enter the side door of Alice Tully Hall for the screening.

There were many people dressed in stylish upscale goth as attendees and some that were just fans trying to catch a glimpse of Robert Pattinson or Zoe Kravitz. They were the quickest through the fan pens though.

Also on the red carpet were actors Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, Jon Turturro, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Peter Sarsgaard, and Barry Keoghan.  Jason Momoa walked the red carpet in support of his step daughter Zoe Kravitz. He brought along his daughter Lola Iolani Momoa and son Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa. Kravitz's boyfriend Channing Tatum was on site, but did not walk the carpet.

The film previously premiered in London and Paris. It goes to wide release on March 4th, but New Yorkers can get a first look with showtimes available March 2nd.
