Nitehawk Cinema is hosting a special screening of Farewell Amor on Wednesday, March 16. This screening is being presented by The Gotham and The Future of Film is Female.
The movie will be introduced by Caryn Coleman from The Future of Film is Female. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the writer and director Ekwa Msangi, producer Huriyyah Muhammad, and Deputy Director of The Gotham, Kia Brooks.
This Brooklyn film is described as: Reunited after a 17 year separation, Walter, an Angolan immigrant, is joined in the U.S. by his wife and teenage daughter. Now absolute strangers sharing a one-bedroom apartment, they discover a shared love of dance that may help overcome the emotional distance between them.
The screening is at Nitehawk's Prospect Park location at 7pm.
