Harvey Fierstein Discusses Memoir at the Library

The New York Public Library is holding an in-person and online conversation with Harvey Fierstein and Alison Stewart.  This conversation is taking place on the rooftop event space of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library at 455 Fifth Avenue. The event takes place at 6pm on Tuesday, March 29th.

Harvey Fierstein is widely known for his work on stage, but he is also a screen actor and voiceover artist. Alison Stewart is a journalist currently with WNYC.

They will discuss Fierstein's new memoir I Was Better Last Night, in which he details his life and career as a playwright and actor, his activism, and his struggles with addiction.
