Jennifer Lopez Doc Halftime Opens Tribeca Festival

The 21st annual Tribeca Festival will be June 8-19, 2022.  "Halftime", a documentary by director Amanda Micheli, will open the festival. The documentary follows global star Jennifer Lopez as she her reflects on her milestones, evolution as an artist, and navigating the second half of her career.

"It's an honor to be selected for the opening night of Tribeca, and so fitting to be celebrating this critical milestone in Jennifer's life and career just miles from where she grew up! To have the opportunity to share this film on the big screen with a New York audience is a dream come true," says director and Tribeca Festival Alum Amanda Micheli.

Tribeca will be the world premiere of HALFTIME screening at the United Palace in Washington Heights on June 8 before the film debuts on Netflix on June 14. In addition to the United Palace, other iconic venues will be used throughout the 12 days of the festival. Venues include: Beacon Theater, United Palace, Pier 57, Spring Studios, BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, SVA Theatre, Village East by Angelika, Cinépolis Chelsea, Waterfront Plaza at Brookfield Place, and Battery Park City.
