Walking Dead Exhibit at Museum of Moving Image

(released 4/26/2022)

The Museum of Moving Image partners with AMC Networks to present 'LIVING WITH THE WALKING DEAD' an extensive collection and curation that will open June 25th. The exhibit will be on view from June 25, 2022 through January 1, 2023 at MoMI. Tickets will go on sale May 5 to MoMI members and the wider public on May 9th.

The Museum, located in Astoria, Queens will have the exhibit on the museum's third floor changing exhibitions gallery for the 6 month span of the presentation. The collection will include the origin story exploring Robert Kirkman's comic book series and the unique contribution of the AMC Networks series to that story. Costumes, props, special effects make-up, storyboards and scripts will also be visible.

"The Walking Dead premiered on Halloween night in 2010 as the #1 cable series launch of all time and is the most-watched series in cable history. It was the first cable series to become the #1 show in all of television, including broadcast, a rank it held for five consecutive years. The series has also given life to a vibrant and expanding content universe that currently includes Talking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, two spinoffs planned for 2023, and the forthcoming episodic anthology series Tales of the Walking Dead."
