BEBA is screening June 22 in Montclair, NJ and Friday, June 24 in Manhattan. Reflecting on a childhood and adolescence in New York City, this story of a daughter of a Dominican father and a Venezuelan mother, investigates the historical, societal, and generational trauma she inherited. This coming-of-age documentary/cinematic memoir is the creation of first time feature filmmaker Rebeca "Beba" Huntt.
The Montclair, NJ screening will be held at
theclairidge.org, June 22, with a question and answer session following the screening with DOC NYC's Thom Powers moderating.
The IFC Center in the Village will host the Manhattan screening with director, filmmaker Rebeca Huntt in-person for a question and answer session on June 24, 2022.

The film, Afro-Latina Writer/Director Huntt's first, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and is being released by Neon. Rebeca was recently included in DOC NYC's 40 under 40 list.
