The Crowded Room was filming in Harlem on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 on 119th. Picture period cars lined the street set among brownstones.

The Crowded Room is a seasonal anthology being produced by Apple Studios and New Regency. Academy Award winner Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind) is writer and executive producer. Tom Holland is starring in the lead role of the first season and will serve as executive producer alongside Goldman.

The anthology's first season will be ten episodes inspired by the award winning biography "The Minds of Billy Milligan" by Daniel Keyes. Billy Milligan will be played by Holland. Billy Milligan is the first person acquitted of a crime because of multiple personality disorder.
