(released 10/21/2022)

The 12th Annual Queens World Film Festival will be both live in-person and virtual. Five different venues will house the festival during the live week of films November 1 - 6. In-person screenings will be at Queens Theatre, Flushing Town Hall, Museum of Moving Image, Kaufman Astoria Studios, and The Local. Queens World's mission is to advance public participation in film screening by utilizing traditional and alternative screening locations and venues to screen independent cinema. Founded in 2010 by Queens residents/filmmakers Donald Preston and Katha Cato, in 2014 it became a 501c3 non-profit. In 2019, the live festival, multiple encore screenings and media events served over 11,000 participants with more than half of those coming from outside the borough of Queens.
