Paramount's Evil Filming New Season

On Thursday January 19th the Paramount+ series EVIL was shooting inside the St. Paul & St. Andrew United Methodist Church located on West End and 86th Street on the Upper West Side.  Production trucks, catering trucks and lighting were present around the church set. The lighting was being set outside to give the mood inside and the crew was actively setting up the interior cathedral capture.

"Evil is a psychological mystery that examines the origins of evil along the dividing line between science and religion. The series focuses on a skeptical female psychologist who joins a priest-in-training and a contractor as they investigate the Church's backlog of unexplained mysteries, including supposed miracles, demonic possessions, and hauntings. Their job is to assess if there is a logical explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work."

"Evil stars Katja Herbers (Kristen Bouchard), Mike Colter (David Acosta), Aasif Mandvi (Ben Shakir), Michael Emerson (Leland Townsend), Christine Lahti (Sheryl Luria), Kurt Fuller (Dr. Boggs), Andrea Martin (Sister Andrea), Brooklyn Shuck (Lynn Bouchard), Skylar Gray (Lila Bouchard), Maddy Crocco (Lexis Bouchard), and Dalya Knapp (Laura Bouchard)."

"The series follows Kristen Bouchard (Katja Herbers), a skeptical psychologist who joins priest-in-training David Acosta (Mike Colter) and his partner and technology expert Ben Shakir (Aasif Mandvi).

Together, they investigate the Church's backlog of unexplained mysteries, where they evaluate individuals who believe they experienced or are currently experiencing miracles, demonic possessions, and hauntings. The end goal? Figure out if there is a logical explanation or if something truly divine (or demonic) is at work."
