Winter Film Awards Festival is February 16-25

Winter Film Awards International Film Festival is going to be February 16-25, 2023 in New York City. The event focus is diversity in film and emerging filmmakers from around the world. The 11th annual festival will include film screenings, discussion panels, workshops for career building professional development, parties at venues through NYC and concludes with a glittering awards ceremony and red carpet gala at 230Fifth (230 Fifth Avenue) on February 24 starting at 7p.m.

The opening night party will take place February 16 from 7pm-2am at DOM New York (287 Park Avenue South). All parties are free to attend with a 21 and older ID. Screenings will be in blocks of hour and a half to two and a half hour sessions. All blocks include 20 minute Q&A sessions with filmmakers. All screenings, compliments of Liberty Coca-Cola, you will be able to try Coca-Cola's latest CREATION free.  Screenings will take place February 17-23 at Cinema Village located at 22 East 12th Street. Look for Documentary day February 18th and Bloody Sunday Horror Night February 19th.

Discussion panels and workshops are evening sessions February 17 and February 20-23 from 7-8:15PM at Cinema Village, 22 East 12th Street and all day February 24 at NYFA (17 Battery Place). The festival's eight sessions cover topics of interest to emerging filmmakers and are free and open to the public.

WINTER FILM AWARDS is an all-volunteer, minority and women-owned registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2011 in New York City by a group of filmmakers and enthusiasts.

Winter Film Awards programs are supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.

Parties are FREE before 11pm. Discussion panels are FREE. Matinee screenings are 10 dollar tickets. Screenings each night and all weekend are $12.50 in advance and $16.50 at the door. ($5 at door w/student ID)
