The 10 Minute Film Festival will be Saturday, April 22 from 7-9p.m. at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center located at 153-10 Jamaica Avenue in Jamaica Queens. This free to attend festival presents independent short films from NYC based artists. The festival will have an opening reception at 6:30p.m.
10 Minute Film Festival will begin with a Q&A discussion featuring film producers Luc Stephen and Omarr A. Salgado. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn the filmmakers' process as creatives and entrepreneurs.
The discussion will be followed by the screening of 10 short films from participating artists. The audience is encouraged to vote for their favorite short film. 10 Minute Film Festival will conclude with a roundtable discussion featuring the participating filmmakers.
This year's theme is "Coming of Age"! A three-member jury picked 10 films to screen and will be awarding a first place ($500) and second place prize ($300). Your votes count for an audience pick awarded ($300) as well.
