The New York Fashion Film Festival takes place March 29th at the School for Visual Arts Theatre at 333 West 23rd Street at 9th Avenue in Chelsea. It is a one day event with a reception at 6pm and screenings from 7pm - 8:30pm.
The event will feature screenings of selected fashion related films. It will be followed by a panel discussion. Panelists will include Rory Satran from Opening Ceremony, Tarik Malak of Swell, Maria Gallagher of Lovely and Amazing Films and Alex Arce of D-Touch and it will be moderated by SVA faculty member Emma Reeves.
The lineup of films include Mel Bles' Missoni Video Campaign SS2011 for Missoni; Bruce Thierry Cheung's Step, Clap, Go! for Opening Ceremony; Cheung and Andinh Ha's Pas de Deux Coda for Opening Ceremony; Kinga Burza's Seven Henrietta Street for Kate Spade; Dominique Palombo's MOVE for Rachel Roy; Harmony Korine's Act Da Fool for Proenza Schouler; and Jennifer Venditti's Screen Test for Bloomingdales and Mirror Mirror for Rachel Roy.
The festival/event is free and open to the public.
